Update: February 28th

At today’s meeting, we reviewed Engineer’s Week, the Tracy VEX competition, and Robogames!

  1. Engineer’s Week was a huge success!  Thank you all for participating with the duct tape bridge, robot building, and Mythbusters Night!  Be sure to check out www.onedublin.org for coverage on the week’s events.  Last week was truly one of the best in the history of the Robotics Club, but be prepared: we’ll be topping that next year!
  2. Lizz and Josh went to Tracy last Saturday to participate in a skills challenge.  Although they did not make it to Worlds, they managed to score 20 point in the skills challenge.  Due to lack of interest, DHS will not be participating in Bellarmine’s skills challenge this upcoming Friday and Saturday.  Our club’s VEX season is finally officially over–great job everybody!
  3. Although this is kind of a cool-down week, our club will be starting to prepare for RoboGames soon.  Be sure to check out this year’s events at www.robogames.net, and start brainstorming for ideas!
  4. Now that our club’s activities are winding down, we need to start really cleaning up the room!  Our goal is to have all parts sorted away by the end of this week, so please come in and organize parts whenever you have the time.
See you next week, guys!
